About this Role

Beckbury CE Primary School, a school within Shropshire Church of England Academies Trust, are looking for a confident and knowledgeable teacher to join the school staff team.

Hours: Full-time

Contract: Fixed term maternity cover (this post is anticipated to be until 31st March 2027 in the first instance, however the post may end sooner should the substantive post holder decide to curtain their maternity leave)

Pay Scale: Main Pay Range

Beckbury CE Primary School is a small, rural primary school which is part of Shropshire Church of England Academies Trust, a thriving trust formed of eight Church of England primary schools. There are 51 pupils on roll at the school. Beckbury School was judged 'Good' in its last Ofsted inspection, noted for its strong curriculum, well-developed maths and reading skills, effective SEND support, good pupil behaviour, and positive parent feedback. 

We are looking for a teacher who strives for everyday excellence and who is open to adapting their practice to reflect current research. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to gain teaching experience across a range of ages and key stages with the post involving three days per week teaching in our mixed Year 2/3 class and two days per week in our mixed Year 4/5/6 class.

The successful candidate will have:

- The ability to further develop and enhance the high standards of teaching and learning at Beckbury CE Primary School

- High expectations of all children

- A conscientious attitude to their work and be well organised

·        - Strong behaviour management skills to develop effective relationships with children

·        - Knowledge of effective assessment practices

·        - Excellent subject knowledge and an enthusiasm to share this with children and colleagues
