 Long Road was judged by OFSTED to be Good or Outstanding in all five categories at its most recent inspection in February 2025.  The report highlights the college as a welcoming, inclusive, and high-achieving environment where students thrive. Inspectors praised students for their exemplary behaviour, respect for one another, and mature approach to learning. They also commended our dedicated and expert teaching staff, whose high-quality instruction ensures that students achieve excellent academic results.

 All our staff share a passion for teaching and learning and are encouraged to support each other and to recognise each other’s strengths.  We are committed to enhancing the individual skills and knowledge of all our staff, to enable them to work positively with our students and our community partners.

 You will be a dynamic and dedicated Psychology specialist, with the ability to teach on our A-Level and Level 3 Applied Psychology courses course, as well as consistently providing high quality lessons and promoting a positive and professional example to both staff and students. You will be highly motivated and we will absolutely encourage you to develop innovative and supportive approaches to inspire our students to achieve their maximum potential. We value working as a team to collectively plan and resource but also focus on teacher agency within the classroom.

 We have two positions available. One is a Full-Time Permanent position, and the other is a Maternity cover. The ability to teach Sociology would also be highly desirable. Both roles will commence in September 2026
