About this Role

It is an exciting time to join Glenvale! Having served the Wilby community for 170 years, we secured the opportunity to move into a fantastic, new, purpose-built school building on the Glenvale Park development. We moved to this new space in September 2024, and we are continuing to expand and grow.

We now require an EYFS teacher to join our committed team as we embark on our journey to becoming a two-form entry school. We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic teacher who is eager to develop their career and is dedicated to supporting and inspiring the wonderful children in our school.

We are looking for someone who:
• Is enthusiastic, approachable and friendly
• Is up to date with current research around Quality First Teaching and Early Years practice (Nursery and Reception)
• Can ensure all children feel safe, happy and able to learn to the best of their ability and reach their full potential
• Is knowledgeable and has the skills to meet the requirements of the EYFS Framework, including a good understanding of early reading
• Can build effective relationships with pupils, parents and external agencies to support a smooth transition into school
• Can create a stimulating and engaging learning environment tailored to the needs of the pupils
• Supports the ethos of a Church and Trust school

In return, we can offer you:
• Excellent CPD as part of the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust (PDET)
• A supportive environment where contributions and ideas are encouraged and valued
• Happy, motivated children who are eager to learn
• A collaborative and supportive team within the school and across the Trust
• Access to a wide array of employee benefits and recognition systems via our partnership with Vivup.

For ECTs, we offer a comprehensive two-year programme including:
• Guaranteed ECT release time
• High-quality CPD and bespoke training
• Curriculum enrichment opportunities
• Networking with other ECTs across the Trust
• Direct mentorship from experienced colleagues

You will be joining a welcoming school community with supportive leadership. In addition, you will be joining a trust that prides itself on developing its people. We encourage ambitious teachers to apply.

We strongly encourage you to visit our school before you submit your application. – please contact us on 01933 276491 to arrange!

The Glenvale CE Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance.  We reserve the right to close this advert if we receive enough suitable applications so please don’t delay in applying!
