About this Role

Thank you for your interest in the role of EYFS Class Teacher at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School. At St Joseph's, part of the Blessed Edward Bamber Catholic Multi Academy Trust, we are committed to providing a nurturing, faith-filled environment where every child can grow academically, spiritually, and socially.

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, passionate and creative Early Years teacher to join our enthusiastic and committed team from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity, particularly suited to an Early Career Teacher, to develop within a supportive and collaborative environment, working closely with experienced colleagues who are committed to delivering high-quality Early Years education.

You will be working within our EYFS unit, teaching a mixed provision of 3-year-olds and Reception children. This role requires a practitioner with a genuine passion for Early Years, who understands the vital importance of these early stages in shaping children’s learning, development and well-being.

The position is offered on a 0.8 FTE basis, although full time would be considered.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Is nurturing, enthusiastic and creative, with a clear passion for Early Years
  • Has a secure understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
  • Can create a stimulating, inclusive and engaging learning environment
  • Has high expectations for learning, behaviour and achievement
  • Is, or has the potential to become, an outstanding classroom practitioner
  • Can inspire curiosity, independence and a lifelong love of learning
  • Works effectively as part of a team, building strong relationships with colleagues, parents and carers
  • Is committed to contributing positively to the wider life of the school and its community
In return, we offer:
  • A friendly, welcoming and supportive team
  • Strong support for Early Career Teachers, including mentoring and professional development
  • A collaborative environment where your ideas are valued
  • Enthusiastic children who are eager to learn
  • A school community committed to nurturing both pupils and staff to thrive

Visits to school are strongly encouraged, and we would be delighted to welcome you to see our Early Years provision in action.

If you are passionate about Early Years and want to make a real difference at the very start of children’s educational journey, we would love to hear from you.
