Thank you for your interest in the post of Year 6 Class Teacher at The Willows Catholic Primary School.
This is an important appointment for our school. We are proud of what we have achieved and ambitious about what comes next. We are seeking a committed, skilled and caring teacher who will bring energy, professionalism and warmth to our school.
The Willows is a Catholic school where faith shapes our values, relationships and expectations. We want every child to feel known, supported and challenged. High standards matter to us, not just in academic work but in behaviour, effort and personal development.
We are looking for a teacher who can inspire our oldest pupils as they prepare for the next stage of their education. The successful candidate will have strong classroom practice, clear routines and high expectations for all learners. They will plan and teach engaging lessons, use assessment well and help pupils make strong progress across the curriculum.
Year 6 is a key year in a child’s primary journey. We are seeking someone who understands the importance of building confidence, independence and resilience, while also ensuring pupils are well prepared for statutory assessments and transition to secondary school.
A key part of this role is building positive relationships. You will work closely with pupils, families, colleagues and leaders to support both academic achievement and wider personal growth. You will communicate clearly, listen carefully and contribute positively to the life of the school.
We are looking for a teacher who promotes excellent behaviour through clear expectations, consistency and strong relationships. You will create a calm, purposeful classroom where pupils feel safe, respected and ready to learn.
The successful candidate will be reflective, organised and committed to improving their own practice. They will work well as part of a team, contribute to curriculum development and play an active role in our Catholic school community.
If you are ambitious for pupils, committed to high standards and ready to make a real difference in a strong Catholic primary school, we would be delighted to receive your application.
