SCIENCE TEACHER - Maternity Cover (Part-Time 0.8)

JOB TITLE: Science Teacher - Maternity Cover (Secondary) 

BASED AT: Castle Newnham (Polhill Avenue)

SALARY/GRADE: ECT/MPS 

RESPONSIBLE TO: Head of Science

We now educate 8,000 children across the area, from nursery age to advanced level study, and have over 1,000 members of staff. It is our aim to grow the BEST in everyone, and everything we do is driven by our values.

We seek a part time (0.8) teacher (maternity cover) to teach and to ensure that the standards of teaching and learning in the secondary Science department are high by being at the cutting edge of development in your subject, modelling and sharing good practice. To develop the school as a centre for excellence for science. To be a form tutor for an identified group of pupils with responsibility for their pastoral care and well-being.

The ability to teach a second subject would be advantageous.
