Alston Lane Catholic Primary School and Nursery is part of the Mater Ecclesiae Catholic MAT. We are a single form entry school with a record of high standards and high expectations. It is an excellent school for staff at all levels to develop professionally. We are a good school with outstanding religious provision.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated teacher to work in Year 6 from 1st September 2026. This is a permanent position and would suit a teacher who is warm, builds relationships and wants to develop professionally.
The successful candidate will have high expectations in all areas of school life and a passion for ensuring the highest possible outcomes for pupils. They will work within our Key Stage 2 team and benefit from rich professional development and support, relevant to the role. They will deliver a broad and balanced curriculum with the development of skills, knowledge and prior learning central to their teaching. This position is not suitable for early career teachers.
In our Catholic school, it is desirable for staff to have a strong personal faith, but essential for them to fully immerse themselves in the Catholic teaching of the school.
