The Role

As a Teacher of Science, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons that inspire a love of learning.
  • Plan and deliver a broad, ambitious curriculum that enables every student to succeed.
  • Use assessment effectively to maximise progress and achievement.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and respectful classroom environment where every student feels valued.
  • Support students of all abilities, including those with SEND and EAL.
  • Work collaboratively with a dedicated Science department and contribute to the wider life of the academy.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
  • Has excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Science.
  • Has high expectations of themselves and their students.
  • Can build positive relationships with students, colleagues and families.
  • Is reflective, enthusiastic and committed to continuous professional development.
  • Shares our values of honesty, faith and courage, placing young people at the heart of everything they do.
