About the Role

  • We are seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Midday Supervisor Assistant to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and positive experience of pupils during lunchtime.
  • You will supervise children in the dining hall and playground, promoting positive behaviour and ensuring that lunchtime is a safe, enjoyable, and well-organised part of the school day.
  • As a key role model, you will help create a calm and respectful environment where all children feel supported, included, and valued.


Key Responsibilities

We Are Looking For Someone who can:

  • Supervise pupils in the dining hall and outdoor play areas to ensure their safety and wellbeing
  • Support the smooth running of lunchtime routines, including managing queues and seating arrangements
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage respectful interactions between pupils
  • Help maintain a clean and safe dining environment, including clearing spills and tidying tables
  • Support children in developing independence and good social skills during lunchtime
  • Respond to minor first aid needs and report any concerns to the appropriate staff
  • Supervise children indoors during wet weather as required
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times
  • Work flexibly as part of the wider school team
  • Someone who enjoys working with children and is committed to their wellbeing
  • A positive and approachable individual who can build strong relationships with pupils
  • A reliable and flexible team member who is willing to get involved
  • Someone who can promote and maintain good behaviour in a calm and consistent way
  • An individual with good communication and organisational skills
  • Someone with an awareness of health and safety and safeguarding in a school setting
  • A proactive and professional role model who demonstrates enthusiasm and integrity
