Assistant Head Teacher - EYFS/KS1

Expected Salary Range - Leadership Scale 1-5 £51,773 - £57,137
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, ambitious and inspirational Assistant Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team at Limebrook Primary School & Nursery.
This is a key leadership role within the school, supporting the Headteacher in driving school improvement, raising standards, and ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across the school.
The successful candidate will lead on a specific area of school development (e.g. curriculum, teaching & learning, assessment, inclusion, or behaviour) and contribute to the strategic direction of the school.
Assistant Headteachers play a central role in leadership, helping to implement the school’s vision and improve outcomes for all pupils
Support the Headteacher in the leadership and management of the school
Lead and drive improvement in a key area of responsibility (e.g. curriculum, assessment, inclusion)
Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning across the school
Use data to improve pupil outcomes and inform strategic decisions
Line manage and support teaching and support staff
Lead professional development, coaching and mentoring of staff
Contribute to the School Improvement Plan and self-evaluation processes
Ensure high expectations of behaviour, achievement and inclusion
Work collaboratively with governors, parents and external agencies
Undertake teaching responsibilities as required
We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has significant teaching experience and leadership experience (e.g. middle leadership)
Has a proven track record of improving pupil outcomes
Demonstrates strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
Has excellent knowledge of the curriculum and assessment
Is able to inspire, motivate and support staff
Is committed to inclusion, safeguarding and high standards
Is ambitious and ready for senior leadership
Has experience of working with children with individual learning plans (ILPs) and adapting teaching to meet a range of learning needs.
Has Experience of supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including working alongside the SENDCo and external agencies
Has some experience as a member of a school safeguarding team.
