Permanent, Full time

Salary – MPS/UPS (£32,916 - £51,048) + TLR 2B £5,871

At Sir William Ramsay we are looking for an outstanding Teacher with Head of Year with the ability to teach Performing Arts.

They will have a clear vision and strong leadership to build upon the schools’ achievements. The post would suit someone who can demonstrate strong leadership skills, is able to teach a range of abilities, with a clear vision of how to maximise achievement in our students and ensure that learning is an enriching experience for all.

The role of Head of Year is to ensure that the pupils in the associated year groups are making appropriate progress in line with their individual targets and is responsible for the pastoral wellbeing of the pupils in that year group. The Head of Year is also required to take a strategic lead on the behaviour for learning within the associated year groups. 

 

This role also requires a post holder who is passionate about developing the schools CPD offer and the fostering of a school-based research culture. The Head of Year will also be responsible for guiding and supporting their tutor team to use current progress, attainment and behaviour data to deliver high quality mentoring to their tutees.

 

The role will offer an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to raising standards and improving outcomes for young people.

 

The successful candidate will also have experience of deploying interventions and additional support to enable students to make the most progress possible. The job description for the role outlines the initial expectations of the successful candidate.
