Are you ready to inspire young learners as they develop key
foundations for lifelong learning?
St John the Baptist CE Primary School & Nursery is a
small, welcoming village school at the heart of its community. With children
genuinely at the centre of everything we do, we are seeking a passionate and
committed Key Stage 1 teacher to join our friendly and supportive team as part
of a maternity cover.
Our school is known for its warm, family atmosphere, strong
relationships and nurturing Christian ethos, underpinned by our core values of
Love, Hope and Respect. We are immensely proud of our Outstanding Nursery
provision (Ofsted 2019) and the calm, inclusive environment we provide for
children aged 2–11.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to teach a mixed Year 1 and
Year 2 class, working with inquisitive, kind and motivated children who enjoy
learning. You will play a key role in building on early learning foundations,
supporting pupils as they develop confidence, independence and a love of
learning during their Key Stage 1 journey.
You will be supported by an experienced and dedicated staff
team who work collaboratively, share best practice and place a strong emphasis
on wellbeing and professional development. As part of the Shropshire Church of
England Academies Trust, you will also benefit from wider opportunities for
collaboration and high-quality CPD.

Visits to the school are warmly encouraged — we would be delighted to show you what makes St John the Baptist such a special place to work.
