About this Role

The pupils, staff and governors are seeking to appoint a caring, committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our support team.

This role will involve providing dedicated one-to-one support for a pupil who will be entering Year 4.  The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the pupil access learning, develop confidence and achieve their full potential within our nurturing school environment.

We are looking for someone who can build positive and professional relationships with pupils, parents/carers and colleagues, and who is committed to working collaboratively as part of a supportive team.

As part of the Diocese of Hereford Multi-Academy Trust we are committed to providing high-quality education and support for every child, benefiting from a culture of collaboration, shared expertise and continuous improvement across our family of schools.

Our staff are dedicated to ensuring that every child is valued, supported and encouraged to reach their individual potential through strong partnerships with families and a shared commitment to inclusion and wellbeing.

The role would require 3 full days and 2 mornings per week.

We are looking for a person who ideally

  • Has experience of working on a one-to-one basis with a child
  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to attend training in order to best meet individual needs of the child
  • The ability to use their initiative and ensure the child's needs are met as inclusively as possible.

We can offer

  • Good resources in a beautiful rural setting
  • Highly motivated pupils
  • A supportive team of teachers, support staff and governors
  • Active commitment and support for your professional development both in the school and throughout the wider Trust.

The Diocese of Hereford Multi-Academy Trust and its academies are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff, and volunteers, to share the same commitment.  This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and will follow the safer recruitment policy.
