The Head of Computing leads and manages the Computing department, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, inclusive curriculum that supports student achievement across all key stages.
The role is responsible for developing and implementing a broad and engaging curriculum that promotes digital literacy, computational thinking, and safe use of technology.
The postholder will drive high standards of teaching and learning, monitor student progress, and use data effectively to raise attainment. They will support and develop staff within the department, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
The Head of Computing also contributes to the school’s wider digital strategy, promoting the effective use of technology in teaching and learning while ensuring robust online safety practices. They will manage departmental resources and budgets, maintain high expectations for behaviour and engagement and play an active role in whole-school improvement.
The role requires strong leadership, excellent classroom practice, and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for all students.
