We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant

At E‑ACT The Grange Academy we’re looking for an enthusiastic and skilled High Level Teaching Assistant to join one of our vibrant academies and play a key role in shaping exceptional learning experiences for our pupils.

As an HLTA with E‑ACT, The Grange Academy you’ll be at the heart of the classroom — leading whole‑class learning, delivering targeted interventions, supporting high‑quality teaching, and helping to create an environment where every child feels confident, valued, and inspired. You’ll work closely with teachers and leaders to bring lessons to life, raise aspirations, and ensure all pupils have the support they need to achieve their very best.

Key responsibilities:

• Bring learning to life by supporting individual pupils or small groups in the classroom, working closely with teaching staff to help every child shine.
• Be a steady, encouraging presence for pupils — including those with additional needs — making sure they feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
• Build genuine, positive relationships with pupils, getting to know what makes each child tick so you can help them thrive.
• Help create a classroom that feels calm, organised, and inspiring, following lesson plans and proudly showcasing pupils’ achievements.
• Champion positive behaviour by guiding pupils through challenges, responding to incidents with confidence and care, and helping them take ownership of their choices.

Pay range: SCP 8 - 12 (Based on 39 working weeks per year / 37 hours per week) £23,592.44 - £25,152.73 per annum.

Qualifications and Skills:

• GCESs Maths & English minimum of grade 4 or equivalent
• TA2 qualification or relevant experience
• Knowledge of strategies for spelling, reading and number skills
• Ability to work with an individual child or with a group
• Ability to extend children's thinking skills
