Inspire curiosity. Spark discovery. Lead excellence in science.

Do you have a passion for science and the ambition to take the next step in your career? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Second in Science to join our dynamic Science Department in a newly created role.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in shaping the direction and success of the department. Alongside delivering engaging, hands-on lessons that bring science to life, you will work closely with the Head of Science to develop teaching, learning, and the curriculum. From exploring the wonders of biology and chemistry to unlocking the principles of physics, you’ll help students become inquisitive, confident, and capable scientists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging science lessons to students of all abilities.
  • Work in partnership with the Head of Science to help lead and develop the department.

  • Support and mentor colleagues, sharing best practice to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, assessment, and enrichment opportunities.
  • Help drive high standards of achievement, progress, and student engagement in science.

We welcome staff who share our commitment to helping children experience better days and better lives. Through ongoing development and training, we ensure our staff are well prepared for their roles and given every opportunity to grow professionally and extend their skills.
