Want to teach in a
school where your impact is seen, valued and celebrated?
Looking for a team that genuinely works together and invests in your growth?
St Martin’s CE Primary
Academy is looking to appoint a talented and motivated teacher from September
2026, with the role most likely based in Lower Key Stage 2.
We are a school on the
up. Since joining the Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust in 2023, and with
refreshed leadership in place, St Martin’s has moved forward at pace—stronger
teaching, improved outcomes and children who are proud, happy and eager to
learn. It’s an exciting place to be.
A real strength of our
school is our close partnership with St Peter’s CE Primary Academy. Through
shared planning, joint training and a fully aligned curriculum, you’ll benefit
from working as part of a wider team, despite our one-form entry size. Support is
always there when you need it.
We are keen to hear from
both Early Career Teachers and more experienced practitioners. We know how to
develop talent—many of our ECTs have quickly gone on to leadership roles—and we
are committed to helping every member of staff thrive.
Based in the centre of
Salisbury, our school community is vibrant and diverse, with around 60% of
pupils speaking English as an additional language and over 30 countries
represented. It’s a place where inclusion is lived, where differences are
celebrated, and where children learn as much from each other as they do from
us.
If you’re ready to be part of a positive, ambitious and supportive school, St Martin’s could be exactly what you’re looking for.
We want our staff to thrive so we offer an extensive range of wellness services and professional learning opportunities to support growth and development. Please visit our website for further details: Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust - Wellness
We value the diversity of our workforce and welcome applications from all. If you are interested in this position and would like to have a more detailed conversation before making the decision to apply for the post, please give us a call and we will be happy to help you with as much detail as possible to support this process.
When you have enough information to make your decision to apply, please complete all sections of the application form. CVs will not be accepted.
All applicants will be notified of the shortlisting decisions by email. References for shortlisted candidates will be requested before interviews.
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
All applicants will be subject to a number of checks including the Disclosure and Barring Service check before appointment is confirmed.
