About this Role

Join Our Team as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Be the difference in a child’s day, every day.

Are you passionate about supporting young people to thrive in school and beyond? The Gateway School is looking for dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join our vibrant team. LSAs play a vital role at the heart of our school—both in the classroom and throughout the school day—helping our pupils to achieve, grow, and feel supported.

What We Offer:

  • A welcoming and inclusive school community

  • Opportunities to bring your own interests and skills into lunchtime and after-school activities

  • The chance to make a lasting difference to children’s lives

  • A supportive staff culture where your input is valued

The Role:

Working under the guidance of our teaching staff, you’ll support pupils in both academic and emotional development. You’ll help create an environment where every child feels safe, encouraged, and ready to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build positive, respectful relationships with pupils and staff

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support, tailored to each child’s needs

  • Assist with classroom preparation, learning resources, and creative displays

  • Offer lunch and break-time supervision, including leading fun, engaging activities

  • Be a positive role model and pastoral support figure throughout the day

  • Contribute to before-school support, including breakfast club

  • Maintain high standards by upholding all school policies and safeguarding practices

This role includes lunchtime duties, either through direct meal supervision (1:00–1:25pm) or running lunchtime activities (1:25–1:50pm), and participation in a morning break supervision rota.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking individuals who are nurturing, reliable, and enthusiastic—people who understand the importance of emotional support alongside academic development. Previous experience is welcome but not essential; we value a positive attitude and a willingness to learn just as highly.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept CVs.

Closing Date: 21st June 2026 @ Midday
Interview Date: TBC.

Please note: We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if a suitable number of applications are received.

Creating Tomorrow Multi Academy Trust is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
