We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant/HLTA to join our friendly and supportive team at Covingham Park Primary School. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a forward-thinking school where children are at the heart of everything we do.

The role offers the opportunity to work four days per week as a Teaching Assistant, with one day per week as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, leading a class and helping to inspire and support children's learning and development. Contracted hours will 30 hours per week, term time only (plus TD Days).

About the role

As a Teaching Assistant/HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering and monitoring interventions for individual pupils and small groups.
  • Supporting assessment activities and helping to evidence children's progress and achievements.
  • Working alongside teachers to create engaging learning environments, classroom displays and resources.
  • Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
  • Leading a class as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant for one day each week.
  • Contributing to a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning experience for all children.
