We have a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant in our School Nursery (ages 3-4). This vital role will be to support a high‑quality and inclusive Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) environment, assisting children with additional funding, as well as general teaching assistant duties within the nursery environment. The role includes engaging children in purposeful play, early phonics, number and communication activities. It will also include intimate care and nappy changing responsibilities, in line with our safeguarding policies.

We are seeking someone who is a team player, gets on well with people and is able to work effectively with young children, parents, school staff and outside agencies. You will be supported by the Early Years team, inclusion team and the SENCo.
A 30 minute lunchtime supervisor duty paid at grade 1.1 £12.26 per hour will be required. There may be Teacher cover opportunities available paid at grade 8 .18 for the right candidate.
Successful applicants will have, or be working towards, GCSE grade C or above or equivalent in maths and English. Candidtates with level 3 qualifications are highly desired, and opportunities to work towards these qualifications will be supported by our commitment to professional development.
The role is a Teaching Assistant primarily within the Early Years setting. However, the Employer reserves the right, where reasonably required for the proper operation of the school, to require the Employee to work with other age groups or classes, including Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
This is a 5 day per week, 30hr plus 2.5hr lunchtime supervisor role, but flexible and part-time working will be considered.
