We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pastoral Mentor to join our innovative team at the National Online school. As a Pastoral Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students to step down from dependence towards independence. Working closely with families, multidisciplinary experts, and our Senior Leadership Team, you will deliver 1:1 and group mentoring to empower pupils to build confidence, resilience and essential life skills.

TCES National Online School delivers online therapeutic education to pupils with complex co-morbid needs, including pupils with neurodiverse identities, social and emotional mental health needs, and Autism, which have presented barriers to them accessing mainstream school-based education, including multiple exclusions.

Resilient and robust, role modelling outstanding professionalism.
Substantial demonstrable experience in successfully working with vulnerable young people, those with complex mental health needs and/or those with challenging behaviours.
The ability to plan and coordinate sessions online, proficient with communication and supporting sensory progress for pupils through universal and intensive therapeutic offers.
Proficient digital skills, including a good understanding of IT systems and the ability to use them effectively as a member of an online school.
Organised with attention to detail.
Proactive and innovative, collaborating with team members in other disciplines, whilst also with the ability to work flexibly and independently.
