About this Role

We seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher to join our team on a fixed term basis to cover maternity leave until Easter 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for a committed professional who is passionate about delivering high quality teaching and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will join a supportive and collaborative staff team committed to providing an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

The following skills are desirable :

  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Strong understanding of the various types of SEND, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, MLD, Speech, language and communication.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet the individual needs of students and support their learning.
  • Ability to create and implement tailored educational plans (IEPs or EHCPs) to support students’ progress.
  • Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to adapt strategies to support diverse learning needs.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to attend relevant training.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with teaching assistants, therapists, and external specialists.
  • Good organizational skills for planning, recording, and reporting on student progress.
  • A passion for inclusive education and ensuring every child has access to a high-quality learning experience.
