About this Role

About this Role

This role is for 15 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks), working 11:00am to 2:00pm each day.

You will be responsible for supervising pupils during the lunchtime period, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour both in dining areas and outdoor spaces. You will help create a calm, enjoyable and safe environment for all pupils during break times.


We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience of working with children, preferably in a school environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team and use initiative when required
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage situations effectively
  • A calm and positive approach when dealing with behaviour
  • Emotional resilience to manage challenging situations and behaviours
  • A caring, patient and approachable manner
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils in the dining hall, playground, and other areas
  • Supporting positive behaviour and resolving minor conflicts
  • Ensuring pupils eat safely and follow school expectations
  • Administering basic first aid where required (training can be provided)
  • Reporting any concerns to appropriate staff
