About this Role

The First Federation Trust, a Multi Academy Trust of 29 primary schools in Devon and West Dorset, is seeking to recruit a fixed term specialist SEN 1:1Teaching Assistant for Mary Dean's CE Primary School.

Mary Dean’s is a Church of England Primary School with its own Nursery, educating children between the ages of three and 11 years old. Situated in the village of Tamerton Foliot, we are fortunate to be surrounded by beautiful countryside and the Tamar estuary, as well as being close to the city of Plymouth.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated individual to work alongside the class teacher across all areas of the curriculum.

  • To deliver targeted interventions.

  • To promote inclusion through the development of social skills, language and emotional well-being.

  • To work under the direction of the class teacher and liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school.

You will be expected to show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given situations with integrity and compassion.

In return we offer:

  • The opportunity to work within a progressive and forward thinking multi academy trust

  • Employee assistance programme

  • Cycle to work scheme

  • Contributory pension through Local Government Pension

The closing date is Monday 6th December at midday
