About this Role

We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for an inspirational Deputy Headteacher to join our team at Rock Ferry Primary School from 1st September 2025 or January 2026. We are a vibrant and welcoming one and a half form entry school, dedicated to providing an enriching educational experience for children aged 3 – 11..

The Headteacher, in collaboration with the Trust and Local Governing Board, is actively seeking a committed, enthusiastic, and innovative Deputy Headteacher to join our wonderful school. We are in pursuit of a strategic leader, adept at nurturing a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within our school community. The ideal candidate will possess the vision and drive to build upon our existing positive ethos, leveraging our strengths to support our future development priorities. Key Responsibilities in supporting the Headteacher to provide:

·         Strategic Leadership: In supporting the headteacher in educational strategies that align with the school’s vision and the broader objectives.

·         Academic Excellence: Uphold and enhance the academic standards at Rock Ferry Primary School, ensuring that all pupils achieve their fullest potential.

·         Wider School Outcomes: Foster a holistic and creative approach to education that encapsulates not only academic success but also the personal, social, and emotional development of our pupils.

·         Culture and Values: Embody and promote the school's ethos - a commitment to Relational and Trauma informed practice to deliver an exceptional education that fosters a love of learning throughout the whole curriculum and to   working together to make a difference.

·         Innovative Learning Approaches: Employ creative and innovative approaches to learning and teaching, encouraging staff and students to explore new ideas and methodologies.

·         A proven track record of effective leadership within an educational setting.

·         A robust understanding and experience of raising educational standards and school improvement.
