Experienced Early Years Practitioner required as Nursery Manager
This is a full time position (37 hours per week) working Monday - Friday, all year round.
To be paid NJC Grade E Scale Point 13 (Annual Salary £29064)

We are looking for a highly experienced, enthusiastic, passionate and talented individual to join our wonderful supportive team at Wolborough C of E Nursery & Primary School. This position is an exciting opportunity to continue to enhance our popular and well supported nursery setting as it moves to be an all year round provider.
This post will involve leading the Nursery including planning and preparation throughout the week. It involves creating a fun, nurturing, stimulating and safe environment for the children that meets individual’s needs; preparing and resourcing activities and provision linked to the EYFS curriculum; assessing children’s progress and determining next steps in their learning and working collaboratively with other members of our EYFS team as well as parents and carers.
We are looking for someone who puts children at the heart of everything they do and wants the very best outcomes for all children in their care. You will need to be able to spot opportunities to develop learning in the moment. You will also need to show a high degree of initiative and be solution focussed. The successful candidate will have robust knowledge of EYFS, a confident awareness of the Framework and have the excellent communication and organisational skills to lead the team and work closely with other leaders across the school. The individual must be highly motivated and have a positive attitude to making a difference.
For this role, you must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification or a similar/higher/equivalent qualification;
Ideally, you will also:
- Have experience of working within and leading an early years setting;
- Have a robust and thorough knowledge of the EYFS curriculum;
- Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills;
- Be able to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents and work as part of a team;
- Be energetic, positive and enthusiastic;
- Be able to use your own initiative;
- Be warm, friendly and have a good sense of humour
