We are looking for an experienced and ambitious colleague currently working as a Teaching Assistant to join our team as a Teaching Assistant (Advanced). This role is designed for an advanced practitioner who is ready to use their enhanced skills and knowledge to support both our pupils and their fellow colleagues

  • Mentor and Support: Take a proactive role in supporting and mentoring new or less experienced teaching assistants, as well as students and volunteers

  • Advance Your Practice: Engage deeply with the MAT Professional Growth Policy, with opportunities to visit and learn from other schools within the Trust to further your own development

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Leading Learning: You will provide cover and lead class teaching as appropriate. This involves planning, delivering, and assessing lessons under the direction of a teacher.
  • Targeted Interventions: You will plan, prepare, and deliver specific intervention programmes designed to close achievement gaps, using formative assessment to adapt provision
  • Expert Support: You will adopt diverse strategies to increase the achievement of all pupils, including those with SEND or from vulnerable groups
