About the role:
You will monitor the spiritual and moral guidance of students in line with the Catholic ethos of the college and mission statement. You will do this by knowing each and every student within the allocated Year group/s, academically and pastorally. by meeting with them and discussing progress on a regular basis.
Key Responsibilities:
· Monitoring behaviour and recording on the school
management information system.
· Be part of the ‘on-call’ team dealing with urgent
issues that require immediate support
· Build effective relationships with families and
ensure that communication is maintained and tracked.
· Be aware of all student groups and
their subsequent needs in liaison with senior staff and tutors. To
refer to the school leads as appropriate e.g. SENDCO, Assistant
Principal for PP and Designated Safeguarding Lead for safeguarding
matters.

Meet with parents of students with student
learning plans to review strategies alongside the HOY and SENCO (where
possible).
· Develop 1:1 and group activities for students on identified issues, such as anger management, raising self esteem and emotional literacy as appropriate.
Skills and Qualifications:
·
GCSEs in English and
Maths (or equivalent)
·
NVQ Level 3 or
equivalent
·
Excellent
communication/administrative skills are essential
·
Ability to build
effective working relationships with students and staff
·
Previous experience of a
similar role desirable
·
Ability to adapt to
changing situations and challenges
