SEN Teaching Assistant
Fixed term contract – based on the attendance of the supported child(ren)
32.5 hours per week, 8.30am-3.30pm Monday to Friday, term time only
Salary: Grade 5, Scale Points 5-6, £19,273 (FTE £25,583)
Start – As soon as possible
We are looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant, who ideally
has experience of working with children with special educational needs. You
will work under the
instruction and guidance of teaching/senior staff, undertaking work/care/support
programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the Teacher
in the management of pupils and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the
classroom or outside the main teaching area.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support children who have an
Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP). Your role will be vital in helping to
implement the provisions and strategies required to enable these children to
achieve important life outcomes, which may include assisting with intimate care
and medical needs.
In return you will work in a warm and welcoming school community, with
dedicated staff and enthusiastic well-behaved children.
