Are you passionate about helping children thrive and making a difference in your local community?
We are looking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Co-opted Governor to join the Governing Body of Ashlands Primary School and support our wonderful school as it embarks on its next phase of development.
We are particularly interested in hearing from people with experience or expertise in:
- SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
- Inclusion and equality
- Education
- Marketing, communications or community engagement
However, we welcome applications from anyone who shares our commitment to providing the very best opportunities for children.
As a governor, you will work alongside school leaders and fellow governors to provide strategic support and challenge, helping to shape the future direction of the school. This is a rewarding voluntary role that offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is committed to improving outcomes for children
- Can think strategically and contribute to discussions
- Is willing to ask questions and offer constructive challenge
- Can dedicate time to attend governor meetings and undertake occasional school visits
- Shares our values of inclusion, ambition and community
No previous governor experience is required and full training and support will be provided.
