About this Role


Grade:                Start               Contract:  Permanent, term time (38 weeks), part time 

Hours of Work:  Teatime Club: 3:15pm – 6:00pm.  Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Applications will be considered from candidates who are unable to work every day

We wish to appoint two Qualified Playworkers with a recognised Level 3 qualification in childcare for our Teatime Club.   

Main duties and responsibilities will include: 

  • Implementing a varied, stimulating and exciting range of activities that meet the children’s developmental needs
  • Ensuring the facility is ready for use, by setting up and clearing away
  • Working as part of a highly motivated and professional team
  • Establishing positive relationships with children and their families
  • Working in close partnership with all school staff and support the whole school ethos

The ideal candidate will be able to: 

  • adhere to and promote all school policies
  • safeguard children and promote health and safety
  • promote good practise in a professional and inclusive manner
  • Maintain a close liaison with class teachers in order to be aware of and respond appropriately to the needs of all children in your care
  • take responsibility for personal professional development, including participation in own annual appraisal, any necessary training, and keeping abreast of all current issues relating to providing this service

Qualifications Required:

  • Level 3 Qualification in Childcare (essential)
