Thank you for showing an interest in the Assistant Headteacher post at St John’s CE Academy. We are delighted that you are considering joining our team.
St John’s is a distinctive, brand-new all-through Church of England Academy, serving children and young people aged 2 to 16. We began our journey in 2023 by opening our Primary Phase to the youngest members of our school community, we welcomed our first Year 7 cohort in September 2025, and will continue to grow year on year until the school is fully established.
This is a significant and exciting stage in our journey. Joining St John’s at this point offers a truly once-in-a-career opportunity to become part of the leadership team of a brand-new school. You will work closely alongside the Heads of School and Executive Headteacher to help shape our culture, systems and future direction. Your contribution will build on the strong foundations already established and will have a lasting impact on the lives of the young people and families we serve.
Please take time to read the accompanying documents, including The SJO Way, which provides further insight into our school, our ethos, and the opportunities ahead. We hope that, after doing so, you feel encouraged to submit an application. If you require any further information to support your decision, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
