About this Role

We are seeking two dedicated HLTAs, with a specialism in either Maths or English, to join St John’s. In this role, you will support our Faculty Leads and play a key part in our highly inclusive and responsive learning environment, building on the strong practice already in place.

At St John’s, we foster a culture where all pupils can access the curriculum and participate fully in learning. Our staff have a strong understanding of their pupils and ensure that foundational gaps are swiftly identified and addressed. Where additional support is needed, adults respond promptly and proportionately, removing barriers so that small gaps do not develop into long-term obstacles. This approach benefits all pupils and has a particularly transformative impact on our most vulnerable learners.

The roles involve working closely with the relevant Faculty Lead to support teaching and learning within lessons, alongside planning and delivering targeted interventions to raise attainment and build student confidence in either Maths or English.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the team at an all-through school (2–16 years) within the Cambrian Learning Trust.

You are warmly welcomed to arrange a tour of our school by contacting the school office.

Term Time Only (38 weeks per year plus 5 days).

Shortlisted candidates will be subject to online searches for publicly available information.

The Cambrian Learning Trust is an equal opportunities employer and we welcome applications from a range of backgrounds to represent diversity in line with our schools’ communities.

Safeguarding Statement:

St John's CE Academy and the Cambrian Learning Trust are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and preventing extremism. We expect all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. All post holders in regulated activity are subject to appropriate vetting procedures and a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced Check.

Shortlisted candidates will be subject to online searches for publicly available information.
