Job Title: Part-Time Catering Assistant
Location: Newbrough C of E Primary School
Hours: 2.5 hours per day, 9:00am – 11:30am, Term Time Only (Fixed-term until August, with a view to being permanent)
Salary: £6,668.72 per annum
Salary Band: Band 1, Scale 2
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our friendly team.
In this role, you will help prepare and serve nutritious meals to our pupils, maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, and support the smooth running of daily school lunches.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation and serving of food and drinks

Help set up and clear away the dining area

Wash dishes and maintain general cleanliness of the kitchen

Ensure hygiene and health & safety standards are met

Work effectively as part of a small team
We’re looking for someone who:

Is friendly, punctual, and trustworthy

Has good communication and teamwork skills

Can follow instructions and work independently

Is committed to creating a positive mealtime experience for children
Experience in a catering or kitchen environment is helpful but not essential, as training will be provided.
