About this Role

Are you ready to take the next step in your leadership journey and make an even greater difference for our children?

We are seeking an inspirational and ambitious leader from within our school community to join the senior leadership team as Assistant Headteacher. This is a fantastic opportunity to build on your existing knowledge of our school and help shape the next stage of our development.

At Kidbrooke Park Primary School, we are proud to be a two-form entry school, judged by OFSTED to be good. As a valued member of our team, you already understand our strong commitment to inclusion, high expectations and ensuring every child succeeds.

We are a research-engaged community, continually refining and developing our teaching and learning. Our ethos is rooted in mutual respect and a shared belief in lifelong learning. As part of The Compass Partnership of Schools, you will continue to benefit from extensive opportunities for collaboration, professional development and leadership growth across the Trust.

This is also an exciting time for our community, as The Compass Partnership will be merging with Eko Trust from 1st April 2026, opening up even greater opportunities for collaboration and innovation.

In this role, you will:

  • Play a key role in shaping whole-school improvement and strategic direction
  • Inspire and support colleagues to deliver high-quality teaching and learning
  • Champion our inclusive ethos and high expectations for all pupils
  • Contribute to our research-informed practice and ongoing development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Trust

We are looking for someone who:

  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to our school’s values and vision
  • Has a proven track record of excellent teaching and leadership impact
  • Is ready to take on a wider strategic role within the school
  • Is reflective, forward-thinking and committed to continuous improvement

This is a unique opportunity to further develop your leadership within a school you know well and a community you are already part of.

Closing date:  Monday 27th April  at 09:00am

Shortlisting: Week of 27th April 2026

Interviews are planned for:  Friday 8th May 2026

As part of the interview process you will be informed about the tasks you will undertake if you are shortlisted.

The post is for an Assistant Head Teacher

Interim fixed contract from 1st September 2026 to 31st August 2027
