TEACHING ASSISTANT
32.5 hours per week 39 weeks per year – term time plus 5 inset days.

Our nurturing environment empowers pupils to develop independence and self-regulation, helping them confidently manage their emotions and behaviour while fostering a foundation for lifelong learning.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant with high expectations for learning to join our specialist provision. You will work closely with pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Special Educational Needs (SEN). Your role will involve supporting pupils in small groups, one-to-one settings, and within the classroom environment, as well as supervising playtimes and lunchbreaks.
A degree of flexibility will be required to meet the needs of the children and the school.
Experience working with children, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, resilience, flexibility and a strong commitment to teamwork are essential.
Experience working with children with SEMH and SEN would be a strong advantage.

The Compass Eko Trust of Schools is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils. As the duties of this post involve regular contact with children, any offer to the successful candidates will be conditional upon an Enhanced Disclosure being obtained via the Disclosure and Barring Service. This post is exempt from the rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974).
Our successful candidate will also be health checked and references will be requested before appointment, the post is permanent and is subject to a satisfactory probation period.
