About this Role
PLAY WORKER – PERMANENT CONTRACT
Start Date: Spring 2025
Hours: Up to 21 hours per week, term time only
(Mon–Wed 7:30–9am and Mon–Fri 3–6pm)
Grade 3: £13.05–£13.26 per hour
Appleton Thorn Primary School is a thriving village school at the heart of its
community. We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team
and support our before and after school provision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, engaging play and learning
activities
- Prepare and serve breakfast/tea and maintain
clean food areas
- Assist with registers and follow club policies
and procedures
- Ensure safe drop-off and collection of
children
- Communicate relevant information to staff and
parents
- Maintain confidentiality and promote
safeguarding at all times
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children (SEN
experience desirable)
- Can support strategies to overcome barriers to
learning
- Is a team player with a positive, enthusiastic
approach
- Is willing to undertake first aid training
