We
are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Special Educational Needs
Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our friendly and supportive
primary school team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference
in the lives of children with additional needs.
You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to support
pupils across the school, providing both one-to-one and small group support to
help them achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
There are two positions available.
31.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday term time only (38 weeks)
25 hours per week, Monday to Friday term time only (38 weeks)
Key Responsibilities
·
Support pupils with a range of special
educational needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH)
·
Assist in delivering
tailored learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher
·
Provide one-to-one
support to pupils where required
·
Help create a safe,
inclusive, and positive learning environment
·
Encourage independence,
confidence, and social development
·
Work collaboratively
with teachers, SENCo, and external professionals
·
Monitor and record pupil
progress
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience working with children with SEND
(preferred but not essential)
·
Be patient, nurturing,
and adaptable

Have strong
communication and teamwork skills

Demonstrate a genuine
passion for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing

Be able to build
positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
