We are seeking to appoint a
teaching assistant to join our team at Avening Primary School. Within this
role, you will work with the class teacher to deliver lessons in a mixed age
class and to support students across the curriculum including those who have
additional academic, social or emotional needs. The successful candidate will
be an enthusiastic, positive and reflective practitioner, with a passion for
teaching and learning - someone who enjoys working as part of a team to
encourage all children to be the best they can be.
In return, we offer:
·
Happy children who have a passion for learning
·
A warm, friendly team of staff and governors, who are committed to
sharing and developing good practice
·
A positive ethos underpinned by shared values
·
An engaging, supportive learning environment and idyllic
surroundings
Salary will be dependent on experience. This is a fixed term appointment in the first instance. For further information and an application pack please visit our website www.avening.gloucs.sch.uk
The Athelstan Trust is
committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young
people and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate
will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
check along with standard pre-employment safeguarding checks. As the role
includes working with children, it is exempt from the Rehabilitation of
Offenders Act 1974. Applicants must, therefore, disclose all spent and unspent
convictions. References will be sought for shortlisted candidates before
interview. Please also be aware that you will be subject to an online check and
that you may be questioned about the findings of such a check at your
interview.
We are a flexible working employer, and we are willing to make any reasonable adjustments you require during your interview so please ask us.
