About this Role

 LUNCHTIME SUPERVISOR

5 hrs. per week,

£12.65 per hour,

38 weeks per year (term time only)

At Greenfield Primary School we passionately believe the children deserve the very best education, nurture and care. We are committed to ensuring that every member of staff provides that here at Greenfield.  It is our job in partnership with parents and carers to ensure that our pupils aspire to be 'the best they can be.' Success may look different for each of our children but, whatever the goal, the ambition is the same. We can offer an incredible team, a warm and nurturing work environment and development opportunities to support your own professional growth.

As a Lunchtime Supervisor you will:

  • Supervise pupils during lunch breaks in the dining hall, playground, and other areas.
  • Encourage positive play and social interaction.
  • Promote good behaviour and follow school policies.
  • Build strong, trusting connections with pupils to promote emotional wellbeing and a sense of belonging.
  • Support the school’s culture and values by modelling respectful, kind and calm communication.
  • Assist with setting up and clearing the dining area as needed.
  • Liaise effectively with teaching and support staff regarding any lunchtime concerns or observations that need follow-up.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is caring, active and friendly, with a warm and approachable manner
  • Is enthusiastic and able to work proactively as part of a team.
  • Is an effective communicator with a good standard of literacy and computer skills
  • Is able to develop a positive relationship with pupils and staff
  • Has experience working with children in a school setting (desirable but not essential).
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

We can offer you:

  • A supportive and welcoming school environment.
  • A working culture that promotes diversity, equality and social justice
  • Children who love to learn
  • A caring working environment where your welfare is of paramount importance
  • Ongoing opportunities for professional development
  • A chance to make a real difference in children’s daily lives.

NB. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.

Safeguarding:

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. As this is our top priority, we encourage applicants to review our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy.

The successful candidate will be subject to all necessary pre-employment checks, including: enhanced DBS; Prohibition check; Childcare Disqualification (where applicable); qualifications (where applicable); medical fitness; identity and right to work.
