About this Role

Manor Wood Primary School is looking to appoint an experienced Facilities Assistant to join our strong school team and support health and safety maintenance and general cleanliness. This is a permanent, all year-round post working Monday to Friday on a two weekly rotating shift cycle with our current  Site Superintendent. The hours of the post are 30 per week.

This post is to work under the direction of the Headteacher, 0 - 11 Business Manager, Site Superintendent and Trust Facilities and Estates Manager to ensure school premises are maintained to a high standard – including cleanliness, routine maintenance, health and safety,  and minor repairs. This post will suit candidates who are highly motivated, have the best outcomes for children at heart, and have a keen eye for detail.

We are looking for candidates who have:

Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as a team with staff and outside agencies.

Energy and enthusiasm for this exciting challenge.

A commitment to continuing professional development.

Manor Wood Primary School can offer:

A supportive and like-minded staff team.

Support from the Owlcotes Multi-Academy Trust Facilities, Business Manager and Estates Manager, who has experience in facilities management across a number of primary and secondary school sites.

An employee perks scheme including discounts and online offers at major high street and online retailers, and salary sacrifice schemes.

The successful candidate will be joining a like-minded and friendly school team. As part of Owlcotes Multi-Academy Trust, we have access to a network of Lead Practitioners who are equipped to support the successful candidate in developing their career.

Successful applicants will undergo an enhanced DBS check prior to employment and will abide by Owlcotes Multi-Academy Trust's policies and procedures and Manor Wood Primary School's safeguarding and child protection policies.

The deadline for applications for this role is Wednesday 8 July 2026 at 12 noon. Interviews will be scheduled for week beginning 13 July 2026.
