The successful candidate will:
Work as a whole-class Teaching Assistant in the mornings, supporting teaching and learning alongside the class teacher
Deliver and support small-group interventions, helping pupils to make progress and engage confidently in their learning
Provide 1:1 support in the afternoons for a pupil with mobility needs, including:
Supporting safe movement around the school environment
Enabling access to the curriculum through technology, adaptations and reasonable adjustments
Working closely with teaching staff and other professionals to promote inclusion and independence
This post is temporary, reflecting the current needs of pupils.
Is passionate about supporting children’s learning, wellbeing and inclusion
Is patient, flexible and nurturing, with a calm and positive approach
Works effectively as part of a team and communicates well with both adults and children
Has experience in a school setting (experience supporting mobility needs or assistive technology is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided)
A welcoming, friendly and supportive staff team
A strong inclusive ethos, where children are at the heart of everything we do
