An exciting opportunity has arisen for Office Manager/Exams Officer at Oastlers School.

Oastlers School is a Trauma Informed UK School.  We help children and young people move towards positive emotional and relational health so that learning — and lives — can flourish. 

Our fantastic school is a well‑established, designated SEMH specialist provision with capacity to serve 179 learners, supported by a team of talented colleagues, across two sites in central Bradford and Keighley.  We are a school that’s proudly part of Exceed Academies Trust — a high‑reputation family of 14 schools with a system‑lead role through the Exceed Teaching School Hub and outstanding Exceed SCITT.  You’ll collaborate, contribute and grow within a Trust that believes in inclusive, community‑minded excellence. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for organising and managing the schools administrative and office systems, including HR, finance and facilities and ensuring the smooth running of the school.  The candidate will also manage the schools examination process . Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will ensure that all relevant activities run smoothly and efficiently, supporting our commitment to delivering an outstanding education for our learners.

The successful candidate will:

  • Plan, develop and monitor support services, including coordination and delegation of relevant activities 
  • Take a lead role in the recruitment/induction/appraisal/training and development/mentoring of school and agency staff;managing associated employment procedures and HR matters
  • Manage the school examination process for GCSE and vocational qualifications 
  • Provide detailed analysis and evaluation of data and produce detailed reports/information as required
  • Hold full responsibility for the Single Central Record for the school
  • Line manage administrative, site and support staff (as appropriate) 
  • Support with budget monitoring and financial processes in collaboration with the Headteacher 
  • Have experience in operations, administration or business management 
  • Hold knowledge of health and safety/first aid/medical/fire safety regulations/requirements
