About this Role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a  Class Teacher, in our specialised SEMH school working with pupils aged between 8-16 yrs who have a range of needs and barriers to learning. Our school classes are organized into lower school (Y3-Y7), and upper school (Y8-11). As a classroom teacher you may be required to teach across the whole school.

As a class teacher you will cover a range of subjects, you will be given support with the planning and curriculum through the Trust School Improvement Team. This extra level of support is ideal for secondary school teachers who wish to transition to a SEND career and may not be experienced in multi subject teaching.

This rewarding role requires a patient, creative, and enthusiastic approach to teaching, as you will be tasked with finding innovative ways to engage and support each child's individual learning journey. As part of a supportive and dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils, helping them build confidence and develop essential skills. If you are committed to providing nurturing, tailored education and are excited by the opportunity to help children thrive in a caring environment, we would love to hear from you.

This role is initially based in Brompton Hall School but there may be an opportunity to work at other schools within our trust

You will

  • Be a strong classroom practitioner
  • Motivate and develop the children in your care
  • Be passionate about seeing young people succeed

We can offer you:

  • A supportive working environment.
  • A commitment to professional development.
  • An opportunity to work with a dynamic team within the school, and wider within the trust.

Visits to the school are welcome; please contact Denny Crossley  School Office Manager on denny.crossley@vennacademy.org or telephone 01723 859121 to make arrangements.

Closing date: 31 March 2026 at  midnight.
