About this Role

St Sidwell’s Primary School is where love for our pupils and their families is a core value. We are looking for someone who can help us achieve our mission to ‘Thinking creatively; Learning together; Trusting in God’.

We are looking to recruit an Early Years practitioner who will be ready to play an important role in our nursery provision alongside our Foundation Stage Unit leader. St Sidwell’s is a vibrant school with a high number of EAL pupils. The candidate would need to understand the support required to enable pupils arriving with no English language to settle well and make language development an absolute priority with continuous provision. We are seeking someone who is passionate about provision. If you have a flair for creating enticing environments closely matched to children’s next steps and interests we would welcome your application. Please confirm which position you are interested in on your application, part-time hours will also be considered.

You should have experience of working with children in a primary school setting and be highly motivated and passionate about supporting and enabling children. If you are an inspirational and dynamic practitioner who demonstrates excellent practice, with high standards and who values and nurtures all children we would love you to join our successful and hardworking team.

Please contact the school on 01392 255551 if you would like to request a tour of the school.

Please note it is our process to apply for references for shortlisted applicants and to complete online searches in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance, for all shortlisted applicants. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS Disclosure is required for this post.
