Manorfield Infant and Nursery School is a large infant school in the centre of Staincliffe, Batley, delivering a great education for children aged between 2 and 7 years old. We are proud of our caring school ethos and our high aspirations for all. The children at Manorfield School show very positive learning behaviours and we work hard to ensure that the very youngest children get the best start to their educational journey regardless of their background or starting point. Our school values are resilience, confidence, inclusive, nurturing, transformational and respect. We try to embody our values in everything we do and we firmly believe that giving children the very best start to their education ensures their future academic and pastoral success.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with exceptional ability to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting both teachers and young people.
The post holder will be vital in helping learners to build independence, stay focused and engaged in the tasks and lessons, help explain different tasks and activities, assist with a wide range of classroom and school-based activities, including planning and delivering engaging lessons, working with small groups or individual learners to provide targeted support, and assisting with classroom management.
The successful candidate will complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed-upon learning activities. This will involve planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities for learners, monitoring, assessing, recording, and reporting on their progress and development, and leading the classroom in the teacher's absence, ensuring continuity and consistency in learning.
You will also collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individual plans for learners with special educational needs. Your goal is to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive, be included and be accepted.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive forward thinking school and Trust, who in return for your commitment and hard work, will support you to achieve your own career goals and aspirations.
