We are advertising for a TA2 A position, however, we may be able to appoint to a level 2B if the candidate has the necessary experience and skill set to fulfil the person specification and the requirements of the TA2B job description. The vacancy is currently in Key Stage 1. Although this is advertised as a fixed term position (until end July 2027), we would hope to be able to offer a permanent post at the end of this period.

Day-to-day requirements of the role, under the supervision of the class teacher:
- Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering educational activities.
- Provide support to individual students and small groups to help them understand and complete tasks.
- Encourage children’s engagement with the curriculum and foster a positive learning environment.
- Monitor and record children’s progress, sharing observations with the class teacher.
- Help manage classroom resources and set up for lessons.
- Support the class teacher in managing behaviour and maintaining classroom discipline.
- Participate in school meetings and professional development sessions as required.
Essential Qualifications
·
NVQ
level 2 or above qualification –appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
· GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) to grade ‘C’ or above

Essential
Experience
· Minimum of 3 months' experience working in a primary school either as an employed member of staff or via a college placement.
E Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age
