About Iveshead School
Iveshead is an inclusive
11-19 school in the heart of the Shepshed community with our core values of
‘Respect, Succeed, Enrich’. We have high expectations of our students and are
ambitious for each and every one of them.
Our mission is clear - we want to ensure that all of our students have
an excellent education and experience of school, giving them opportunity and
choice beyond Year 11 and Year 13.
Our students are fantastic young people who work hard, enjoy
learning and make every day different. We are incredibly lucky that we have a
dedicated team of staff: our teachers are subject experts who love teaching
their subject. We work together to ensure that we are removing barriers and
helping students to flourish. We are a truly inclusive school and are rightly
proud of our two specialist provisions.
We have an impressive Sixth Form where we retain students to
study a wide range of A Level and vocational courses. Students are successful
in gaining places at universities, securing places for competitive
apprenticeships and employment opportunities beyond Year 13.
Our school campus is very well resourced; our Sixth Form
students study in a brand new Sixth Form Centre which was opened at the
beginning of this academic year. We
offer a supportive and welcoming environment with respect for all, a dedicated
staff and a strong blend of activities which create an enriching and successful
education for all students at Iveshead.
