This exciting
opportunity is for an apprentice to join an ever-growing IT team based in
Loughborough. You will work alongside the Trust IT Lead and team to ensure the
smooth running of the technical IT service across all schools within the trust.
We are
looking for candidates with good communication and problem-solving skills, with
a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Along with a good level of IT
skills including Microsoft Office software, you will be able to manage your own
workload and respond swiftly to tight deadlines.
In this role,
you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communication Technician Apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic
Apprenticeships.
Role
You will be required
to work 37 hours per week all year round. There will be a split between working within the IT function
(80%) and having
allocated time to complete
your course (20%).
The role of IT Apprentice will involve working
across a number
of different areas including:

Help desk support
·
Monitoring, diagnosing, repairing and recording breakdowns.
·
Maintaining accurate records.
·
Carrying out routine
maintenance work.
You will have GCSE English
and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above, and a Level 2 IT qualification – GCSE or BTEC. You will have knowledge of GDPR and Data
Protection, and have experience of Windows/Apple operating systems.
You will have good communication and problem solving
skills, with a high level of
accuracy and attention to detail. Along
with a good level of IT skills including Microsoft Office software, you will be
able to manage your own workload and respond swiftly to tight deadlines.
This role is fixed term for a period
of up to 17 months
or until the apprenticeship is completed, whichever is sooner – (this
is subject to a satisfactory 6-month probationary period). Over the duration of the 17 months, you
will receive a combination of face-to-face and online training and support.
At the end of the apprenticeship, you will be able to apply for any vacancies available at that time.

Salary: £15,444.98 per annum (SPOT)
Hours:
37hours per week (Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 4:30pm, Friday 8:30am – 4pm)
