About this Role

Role: Data and Assessment Officer (Maternity Cover)

Hours: 36 hours per week, Term Time Plus 2 Weeks. The additional two weeks will be arranged in agreement with the line manager. It is essential that the post holder is available during the examination period and is able to attend INSET days as required.  The post will end when the postholder returns from maternity leave.

Salary: NJC Scale PO3 - £41,665 to £44,678 - Actual term time plus 2 weeks salary figure.

Start date: July 2026

We are seeking to appoint an organised, proactive, and detail-oriented Data and Assessment Officer to join our team on a maternity cover basis.

This role is due to commence in July and will continue until the substantive post holder returns from maternity leave.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the school’s data and assessment processes, ensuring the accurate management and reporting of student data, as well as coordinating and facilitating the smooth running of examinations.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience working with school data and assessment systems

  • Have experience coordinating and facilitating internal and external examinations

  • Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail

  • Be confident working with data, spreadsheets, and school information systems

  • Have strong communication and administrative skills

  • Be able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
